The Licensing Process for the Salesperson License

• Education
  • Evidence of completion of 10th grade from an accredited high school or equivalent
  • Completion certificate from this 60 Hour pre-license course with a 80% or greater on the end-of-course exam.
  • Copy of AMP state exam completion
  • Competed State exam application. 
• Age requirement
  • Must be 18 years or older

  • A student must receive a score of 80% on the national uniform portion of the course (principles of real estate) and 70% on the Montana state portion.

How does this On-line program work?

1. This course is composed of material in both real estate principles and practices and Montana state specific to prepare the student for both sections of the State Exam. 
2. Each module has a video presentation, quiz, text links to important websites and institutions and a crossword puzzle to help the student learn the vocabulary.  The quiz must be completed with a score of 80%.
3. Once all sessions or modules have been completed and passed, there are two summary exams, one covering Montana license law and one covering the national portion of the course.  Students need to score 75% on both exams. The national exam is a three hour exam. 
4. Students must complete the course evaluation form before a certificate of completion will be issued.   Students can fax the completed form to 866-280-5948.
5. Once the form is received, the school will mail the student the 'Certificate of Completion" and a wall Diploma upon request. 

1. Once the student purchases this course, the student CANNOT get a refund.
2. This On-Line course does not require additional textbook support and NO additional course material is needed; however, students are provided the textbook Modern Real Estate Practice with the basic Bronze package.   Other wonderful additional study materials are in the Silver and Gold Packages.  Plus students can purchase additional course materials on the Cooke Bookstore.
3. The student can work through the course at the student's convenience. Once the student signs up for the course it is good for one year.
4. This course is NOT designed to be printed for security purposes and copyright regulations.
5. At the time of registration for the On-Line Distance Learning Course, the student will receive an e-mail, verifying the student's registration and user name and password plus the link to access the student page.  Students can access the student page by the light blue icon on the right side of every web page "Cooke School Student Login". .
6. Upon completing the course, the school recommends that the student e-mail the school, letting the school know of the completion and to fax to the school the two forms above, so the school can issue the certificate of completion. 
7. Please allow three to four business days to receive the completion certificate.
