The Licensing Process for the Broker License

• Education and other requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Completion certificate from this 60 Hour pre-license Broker course
  • Copy of AMP state exam completion
  • Competed State exam application. 
• Experience Requirement
  • Two years as a licensed Salesperson
  • Completion of the following criteria within 3 years of the date of application:
    • Minimum of 30 residential real estate transactions, or
    • Minimum of 10 commercial, agricultural or farm and ranch real estate transactions.

  • Must score an 80% or better on both the uniform and the state portions.

How does this On-line program work?

1. This course is composed of material in both real estate principles and practices of real estate and Montana state specific.  Both sections are of utmost importance in preparing the student for both sections of the Montana State Exam.  There is the link to the timeline and material being covered in the course.   COURSE OUTLINE
2. Students must obtain a grade of 80% on each of the end-of lesson quizzes for each of the modules. 
3. Once all modules have been completed and passed there is an embedded 100-question end-of-course exam.  The student needs to successfully complete the end-of-course exam with a score of 80% or higher.  The final exam is not timed but must be completed or the student will need to start over. 
4. When the student passes the end-of-course exam, the student must print and fill out the Statement of Compliance and the Student identity forms.  The two forms must be faxed to 866-280-5948 before the Certificate of Completion can be mailed out.
5. Once the two forms are received, the school will mail the certificate to the student and a wall diploma upon request.  Please allow three to four business days to receive this completion certificate.

2. This On-Line course does not require additional textbook support and NO additional course material is needed. You will also find other wonderful additional study materials at the Cooke Bookstore.
3. Once the student signs up for the course it is good for one year.
